New beginningsfor the #2 largest industrial sector in the country
Denovia is pleased to announce our Master Licensing Agreement in the Dominican Republic with José María Munné, Executive Director of ADIPLAST, Asociación Dominicana de la Industria de Plástico (Dominican Plastics Industry Association).
The partnership is expected to pave the way for on-the-ground deployment of Denovia’s technology in the Dominican Republic and potentially open access to multi-million pounds of plastic waste feedstock in the country.
“We’re very excited to be working with Denovia in the Dominican Republic. As the country continues to strengthen its waste management systems nationally, a framework that facilitates private sector investment and growth in waste reduction and recycling is becoming increasingly important. We need to look toward innovative partners like Denovia, which can provide forward-thinking and creative solutions to generational challenges.”
— José María Munné, Executive Director of ADIPLAST
“We are excited to be part of the Dominican Republic’s journey in tackling plastic waste. By enabling more effective recycling and reducing the chance of plastic waste leaking into the environment, this partnership can contribute to the protection of the country’s waterways, coastlines, and natural beauty,”
— Nick Spina, CEO of Denovia
According to Santo Domingo Technical Institute (INTEC), more than 406,000 tons of plastic waste is produced in the Dominican Republic every year. This translates to roughly 800+ million pounds.
